Kick It Out 2003
10/26/2003

Once again, LOFT and Leyton Orient FC participated fully in this year's Kick It Out campaign, as part of the game's ongoing contribution to tackling racism in football. Our designated home game took place on Saturday 25th October.

As in previous years, LOFT volunteers were on hand before the game to give out 'Kick It Out' stickers and badges, and we were delighted with the warm reaction from the vast majority of supporters. Meanwhile, the club did its bit by having the players wear Kick It Out t-shirts during the warm up, as well as parading the anti-racism banner around the pitch at half-time. Also, the activities were publicised on the club's official website and in the matchday programme.

LOFT is committed to the cause of eradicating racism in football, and we recognise the club's good track record in promoting football as an inclusive activity. An excellent example of this is the 'O's Against Racism' hoarding in the north-east corner of the ground, which LOFT persuaded Barry Hearn to display as a symbol of the club's commitment.

LOFT would like to thank Lindsey Freeman and Matt Porter at the club for their help, as well as the volunteers who gave up their time on a very cold afternoon!
