Great O's support for Wrap Up London
11/24/2017

There has been a tremendous response to the Leyton Orient coat collection for Wrap Up London, which the club initiated with the help of Leyton Orient Trust, Leyton Orient Fans' Trust, Waltham Forest Council and Leyton Orient Supporters Club.

An incredible 122 coats were collected between the morning of Saturday 18 November and Tuesday 21 November, coinciding with the O's home games versus Dover and Chester.

As well as generous O's fans, the wider community also contributed with donations following a news report in the local Guardian newspaper.

Now in its seventh year, Wrap Up London sees Londoners looking after their own by donating spare coats and jackets to those in the capital who struggle to keep warm in the winter months. Coats are distributed via homeless shelters, refugee centres, organisations supporting the elderly, women’s refuges, children’s centres and other charities helping people in crisis.

Doug Harper, LOFT Chair, said "Once again, the Orient community shows how it works together so effectively".

Neil Brown, Score Leisure Centre Manager, stated "Orient supporters prove once again that they truly are the epitome of a community club".
