LOFT AGM held
8/25/2003

LOFT held its AGM at the Birkbeck Tavern, Leytonstone, on 23rd August 2003. Unfortunately, guest speaker Steven Powell had to pull out at the last minute due to illness.

Following the AGM, the formal appointments to LOFT's committee are:

  • Doug Harper re-elected as Chair;
  • Vicki Kaye elected as Vice Chair in place of Ian Ochiltree;
  • Peter Osborne re-elected as Treasurer;
  • Jonathan Kaye elected as Secretary in place of Jess Slack;
  • Paul Arnup elected to the Commitee;
  • All four co-opted members (Harry Cohen MP, Councillor Clyde Loakes, Jamie Stripe and Roy Leach) re-elected.

A copy of the Chair's Report and Financial Statement are now available for download from our Downloads page.

Following the formal business, the floor was turned open to those members present. Among the subjects raised during a lively debate were:

  • Standing. LOFT will continue to lobby the club for supporters to have the choice to stand at Brisbane Road, however we accept that there is no provision for standing in the planned redevelopment of the North and West Stands;
  • On the pitch matters. LOFT will continue its policy of not commenting on playing matters as long as this does not harm the well-being of the club;
  • Membership. LOFT has placed an advert in this season's Matchday Programme, and we intend to hand out leaflets at least one game later in the season;
  • Recognition of players. LOFT's committee welcomes the suggestion that we recognise players' achievements at the end of the season, and will look into the best way of achieving this.
