Cambridge appeal for investment
12/17/2003

We've been asked to pass on the following from 'Cambridge Fans United':

Last December, following the collapse of ITV Digital, Cambridge
United had to take out a £600,000 bank loan to see them through the
following 12 months. A condition of the loan was that it has to be repaid in
full by 22 December 2003.  If the loan is not repaid then the clubs
future is at risk as the ground was used as security.

The Chairman and Directors have put together a plan, including further
investments by them, that will provide £500,000 but there is a gap of
£100,000.

The supporters of Cambridge United are working hard to raise the missing
£100,000 and, if successful, will earn the right to have a  Fans Director on
the board.

Please help us secure Cambridge United's future and give us a say in how
it is run in the future by sponsoring a seat at the Abbey Stadium or making
a donation. Follow the link to our appeal website www.helpcfu.co.uk or ring 07957 344005. Cheques can also be sent to PO Box447, Cambridge CB3 8ZX.

Thank you for reading this and for any help your members can give by
passing this message on.
