An Evening with Martin Ling
9/12/2004

On Thursday 12th August, LOFT held another of its "An evening with..." meetings. This time, our special guest was the Leyton Orient manager Martin Ling, who answered questions from the members present.

Ling was very forthright and honest in his answers, which was to be applauded given the terrible first home game to the season the Orient fans had witnessed just five days prior to the meeting. Indeed, the first question asked Ling if he would quit if he felt he wasn't up to the job! His reply was that he'd cross that bridge when he got to it, but "would walk before I was pushed".

Other highlights of the evening were that Jabo Ibehre is, apparently, "uncoachable", and his reply to the question "McFly or Busted": "Who are they?".

A full set of questions and answers is available here, on the personal website of LOFT committee member James Pope.
