Leyton Orient EGM
3/23/2005

Leyton Orient Football Club Ltd has called an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of its shareholders for Wednesday 6th April, to discuss Barry Hearn's proposal to sell part of the West Stand development to a consortium (setup by Mr Hearn) in return for £1.5 million and possibly a share of future income from the lettable space.

As shareholders, LOFT is currently in the process of consulting its members as to how LOFT should vote at the EGM. We are also exploring various avenues to obtain more information, as there is much about the proposal that is unclear.

An information meeting for LOFT members has been arranged for Saturday 2nd April (after the home match against Northampton Town), at the Birkbeck Tavern, starting at 6pm. By then, we hope to have more information about the proposal, as well as a good number of comments from our members.

Admittance to the meeting will be to LOFT members only; click here to join. Membership rates are currently reduced in our end-of-season sale; it costs only £5 to join, or £3 if you are unwaged, an OAP or a student.
