The United Colours of Orient II / Kick It Out 2005
10/16/2005

In 2001, to mark the first Kick It Out week of action, LOFT sold a limited run of t-shirts entitled The United Colours of Orient. The t-shirt celebrated the diversity of nationalities of O's players over the years, from Tommy Johnston to Carl Griffiths via John Chiedozie and others.

With the fifth Kick It Out week taking place at the moment, LOFT is pleased to announce that it has commissioned a new t-shirt for 2005: The United Colours of Orient II. Based loosely on the original design, this t-shirt celebrates the diversity of the current O's squad (both within the UK and beyond).

To purchase one or more t-shirts, please visit the LOFT Shop.

Below is a picture of the t-shirt design, and a picture of the t-shirt itself (XL size) being worn by LOFT member James Pope on Kick It Out day, alongside Orient legend Peter Kitchen:

As mentioned above, the launch coincides with 2005's Kick It Out week of action. Leyton Orient's designated game took place yesterday (Saturday 15th October), and LOFT once again arranged and co-ordinated the handout of material; thanks to the help of more supporters than ever before willing to help out, thousands of items publicisng the Kick It Out message were handed out to the near-5,000 crowd, including nearly 4,000 stickers and hundreds of badges, wristbands and booklets.

Thanks to all who volunteered their help for Kick It Out day. The United Colours of Orient II t-shirt design is © LOFT and was designed by Jonathan Kaye, based on an original design by David Prowse.
